Roseleen Rick has been selected as the new Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity-Powhatan starting on June 1, 2018. She has been active on the Habitat board for several years and brings to the Executive Director position a background of law, coaching and teaching. Mrs. Rick was a partner with the law firm of Troutman Sanders LLP and her practice involved commercial financing and commercial real estate. She retired from the practice of law several years ago and since retirement has become a certified executive coach and a consultant. Prior to going to law school at the T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond, Roseleen was a Montessori teacher. She and her husband have been residents of Powhatan since 1992. They have two daughters and several grandchildren. Her husband, John, was formerly the County Attorney for Powhatan. Most people call her “Spud”, a result of her father being borne in Ireland and a chance remark by her grandmother.
